Synopsis: 

The war on humanity has begun...

Wolfhaven - ground zero - none in this town will survive the wrath of the pack. The first slaughter sparks the beginning of the end for humanity as the Wolfhaven pack descends upon the unsuspecting townsfolk to exact revenge for the killing of one of our own - Pharo, the mother of the pack, once feared and respected by our kind throughout the region, is no more.

Claude's plan is bold yet carefully thought out; to spread from Wolfhaven, town by town, village by village, city by city; to rid the world of the human plague and put an end to the desecration of this wondrous planet. It all begins here.

As the ranks swell, the surrounding packs forming alliances and consolidating, select humans spared annihilation to be turned and assimilated as the moon casts her influence. Review: 

This is a beautiful book. Bloody, visceral, gore... beautiful.

"Revenge" is the centre of the plot. An intelligent, organized and furious wolfkind plans their vengeance, after the outrages they have been suffering from, of course, humans.

Our hurt, betrayed and aching protagonist narrates the whole story from the filter of her pain for her recent loss.

"One by one, my claws penetrate the chest and then slowly, I drag down, opening the body up from neck to groin. It screams. Its final vision is of my gaping maw, descending to tear away its head from the struggling body."

From the entrails of the wolf community, the reader joins the battle. Every fight, every race.  This book is a must for any werewolves lover.

"The humans had played their final hand, and we are now biting it off."

Loyalty, hierarchy, fierceness and savagery. Every page of the book keeps you vigilant and Eyenot knows how to make you feel the hate, ache and fury from within.

That said, this story is beautifully written, you will read it in one go. This is one of those books that once you've read it, you want to open it often, and randomly read a couple pages to get that smile you need to compensate a bad day. It's very worth getting the paperback, sure I will.

This piece cannot disappoint you in any way. For horror, thriller, animals, wolves lovers. A melodic slaughter, crimson honey for your mind. Just take this book, a hot coffee and ...enjoy.

Shadowmancer

Jeremy Mac

This book is a disturbing quick read. What starts looking like a simple teenager story ends up being an obscure tale electrifying the reader's spine. I didn't expect what I found in this title. Mac is very easy to read, so pleasurable, I can see why he gets so many good reviews. The entrails of the story are centred in that fine line separating power and danger. Marc W. Johnson

If I had to describe this book in one word, it would be without a shadow of a doubt, "shuddering". Johnson knows how to keep you awake. Playing with dialogues, he makes you jump from one scene to another without giving you the option to stop, because... you don't want to stop. This book is certainly the sequel of "Affinity's Window" and for starters, I'll say that if you thought it couldn't get better, well, it does. The first page already made me clench my teeth (obviously I won't tell you why). Wilson shows, this time, a wide skill for the police and crime material, making it the main wire in the plot, dragging the characters into a storm of events they cannot control from minute one. Affinity's Window

This is the first piece I've read by this author. I'm greatly surprised. Ghosts and demons, pure paranormal threads are my thing in horror. I love them, and Wilson takes those terrifying strings and twirls them together, in such a loving way that you lose conscience of what side you are on. In this first book of the trilogy, Ondrashek soaks with blood the idea of the "typical" vampire. Just turning the first page you already have a good dose of gore and that grabbed me, you bet! Well, I had to take a couple days to write a review of this book, because it implies too many important concepts. The most important, in my opinion, is how this book DISTURBS you. But not in a regular way. Not in a bloody, gore way.
